I have been in music since the age of 12 and expressing myself
in paint since befor i could walk.I started as many do in the school
band learned to read and write music with the teaching of a truly
dedicated music teacher. However once i left and started to express
myself musically i soon realised i needed to almost forget all i had
learned. I played first of all in other peoples bands in all the different
genres,so my musical background is varried. This reflects itself
in my sound and approach to my music today. My aim is to fuse
a soundscape mixing soul jazz and rock with latin/affro rythems
using live and programned drums and loops soulfull vocals
and ambient sound samples a mixture of electro/accoustic instuments.
Eventually i formned my
own bands but in truth i found it all to limitting,To many compromises
and if your a working gigging band to many cover numbers. I wanted to
form my own sound and style, so i worked toward getting my own studio.
Nothing grand just somwhere to create in peace. You see there are
no bounderies in music or in life only those we allow others to force
on us and only our own fears. Now i produce write and play all the
instruments on all my own material.for me my art and my music
are two sides of the same coin, a way to express and converse
with the viewer and listner. For me all things are just a part of the
whole with my music i mainly deal with the human condition with
my art i try and convay my feelings about nature and the enviroment.
